Regulation 78 - Product Filing Requirements

LDI Regulation 78 mandates and outlines policy form filing requirements for Life, Health, Property and Casualty policy forms.

Louisiana’s Product Filing Matrix provides required forms for all rate, rule, and policy form filing submissions, such as the statement of compliance and the certification of compliance. The Product Filing Matrix also provides legal references for each product, FAQs, and other information regarding form filings.

The Louisiana Department of Insurance (LDI) utilizes the NAIC’s System for Electronic Rate and Form Filing (SERFF). LDI also accepts paper filings.

The Complaint, Rate and Form Tracking (CRAFT) system is available through the department's Industry Access Portal. Within the CRAFT module of Industry Access, insurers can perform the following actions:

  • Complaints - Receive and respond to complaints, electronically submit related documents, check the status of outstanding complaints, verify the response dates, view details of outstanding complaints, and print complaint summaries.
  • Rating - View details of previous CRAFT filings and print filing summaries.
  • Policy Forms - View details of previous CRAFT filings and print filing summaries.
