Former Alexandria Agent Issued Cease and Desist Order and Fine Notice

A former Alexandria agent was issued a cease and desist order and fine notice today for alleged misappropriation of premiums and conducting the business of insurance without a valid license.
Tonya Annette Willis, 27, was served by Department of Insurance Fraud Section Investigators today with a cease and desist order and $2,500 fine notice for allegedly misappropriating premiums and conducting business without a valid license. She is alleged to have not posted payments in a timely manner or posted only partial payments, as well as altering of receipts.
Department records show that Willis was issued a Property, Casualty and Vehicle Physical damage license in June 2006 which lapsed in April 2009.
