Hurricane Ida Mediation Program
In the wake of property devastation caused by Hurricane Ida in August 2021, the LDI has established the Hurricane Ida Mediation Program for all authorized property and casualty insurers and surplus lines insurers and their residential policyholders. The voluntary Mediation Program is open to insurers and policyholders for disputed amounts of up to $50,000 on claims related to Hurricane Ida.
Policyholders who are interested in the Mediation Program should contact their insurer to see if they are participating and request mediation from one of the two mediators listed below. For more information, please review the Hurricane Ida Mediation Program FAQ, Tips Sheet, News Release and Bulletin 2021-08.
